It's a Sell-Out: L’Oreal Voluminous Lash Paradise Mascara | Before & After
Drop the falsies and lash curlers, there's a new mascara on the block and its a sell-out. I spent two weeks trying to snag a tube of L'Oreal Paris Paradise Mascara £11.99, it was clearly a popular product as it flew off the shelves and consequently sold.out.everywhere. Tbh, I always want what I can't have, especially when it comes to beauty products and although I was disappointed, I felt reassured it would be worth the wait, because if the masses were buying it, it must be good. But does this new release live up to the hype? In short yes. I was blown away by, well, everything.
I usually turn a blind eye to mascaras with traditional fuzzy wands, I tend to gravitate towards the plastic kind that separate and lengthen. For the last 2 years I've pretty much exclusively worn Maybelline Lash Sensational Mascara and before that Seventeen Doll'd Up Mascara were my go-to. Sure, I've dabbled with a handful of luxury mascaras, but I always come back to cheap ones as more often than not they do the same job, if not better. L'Oreal Paris Paradise Mascara has a said fuzzy wand and has been dubbed as a Too Faced Better Than Sex Mascara dupe. Sure, L’Oreal's latest release bears resemblance to the infamous mascara, but its better and less than half the price.
Just a couple of coats immediately makes my lashes appear longer and fuller without leaving them looking clumpy. It does a stellar job at multiplying my lashes and it truly curls. And the fact my coworkers commented on my new lengthy and voluminous lashes is testament to this. It's not as buildable as Maybelline Lash Sensational Mascara, but one to two coats does the job. While its long-lasting giving me fabulous lashes all day – and night – long, I've noticed the formula is quite dry and the tube is already drying out after just 3 weeks. Generally mascara has a shelf life of 3 months before its meant to be tossed out, but I can't see the L'Oreal Paris Paradise Mascara lasting this long. But I'm hoping I'll be able to breathe a little life back into the dried-out tube with some eye drops - I'll report back on my success, or flop.
Dry formulation aside, its hands down one of the best drugstore mascaras I've tried. L'Oreal Paris Paradise Mascara welcome to my exclusive “club” of holy grail mascaras.
