I spent the entire train journey to London
anticipating what I'd buy in Lush, Oxford Street. But once I stepped in-store
armed with my boyfriend and a basket, I was overwhelmed with choice and 20
minutes later, slightly intoxicated by Lush fumes I walked out having purchased
5 products.
A Tanya Burr favourite, Lush's King of Skin is a solid body butter
and unlike any moisturiser I've ever tried. Applied during or after
showering/bathing the solid body butter leaves behind an oily residue that soon
after melts into the skin leaving it feeling soft and nourished thanks to its
blend of bananas, avocados, oat milk and butters.
Lush's Mask of Magnaminty is your stereotypical girls
night in green face mask that boasts a natural peppermint scent. The
thick mask feels cool and refreshing on application and its formulation
includes honey a natural antiseptic, peppermint oil which helps to absorb
excess oil and aduki beans which gently exfoliates the skin on removal. After
just one use my skin appears calmer and clearer and thankfully this face and
body mask is self-preserving, so no popping in the fridge to then forget about
it.
Featured in my 2014 skincare favourites Lush's Tea Tree
Water Toner is a product I cannot fault and one I've been meaning to repurchase
for a while as my skin loves the stuff! Spritzed directly onto
my skin both morning and night, the refreshing toner helps to reduce redness
whilst calming, reducing and preventing breakouts with its antibacterial and
antiseptic properties. It's by far my favourite toner and one I will continue to
repurchase. If you're in the market for a new toner and have blemish prone skin
look no further.
This cult limited edition Christmas shower gel
from Lush has a sweet candy floss scent and although not as mouth-watering as the Body Shop's Glazed Apple Christmas Collection,
I simply couldn't resist picking up a bottle. It lathers nicely with my body
polisher and the scent lingers in the bathroom, but unfortunately not so much
on my skin.
Admittedly I'd rather shower than bath. But on the rare
occasion, when I do slumber in bath of piping hot water, I seize
the opportunity and share my bath with a Lush bath bomb and Intergalactic is next in the pipeline. The new deep blue bath bomb from Lush
has a fresh mint scent and promises to take me on a trip to the Milky Way with
its popping candy and glitter line up. It's safe to say I'm very much looking
forward to popping this one in the bath. And I'm sure an Instagram worthy post
will follow shortly afterwards.
