| MAC Fanfare Lipstick £15 |
Im very excited to share with you today my latest addition to my MAC Lipstick collection - MAC Fanfare. I was lucky enough to get this as a present from Santa back in December (so thank you Santa if you are reading this!). I haven’t heard or read much about this lipstick before, which surprises me, as it is honestly the perfect every day lipstick.
Fanfare is a warm mid tone pink, with a slight coral undertone. In fact, I would say that it is rather like a salmon pink, just slightly warmer. If you didn’t already know, MAC Cosmetics have different finishes to their lipsticks and this one in particular has a cremesheen finish and as the name indicates, it is creamy and has a slightly glossy texture. The colour isn’t overly pigmented, but I personally really like that, it makes it the perfect all round every day lippy for me - its super flattering on my skin tone and perfect for spring. However the pigmentation of lipstick, generally will depend on you natural lip pigmentation - which is why it is always best to try lipsticks out in store before you buy them. Furthermore, this lipstick also looks lovely when worn with a neutral gloss over the top, which I do prefer to do on occasion. In terms of staying power, this lippy hangs around for a little longer than my much loved MAC Lovelorn, at around 3 hours, however when worn with a gloss this is a little less.
MAC lipsticks are priced at £15, which may seem a little pricey to some and although this was a present, I would be more than happy to pay that price - I have done before and I would again! I would highly recommend this lipstick, especially for those new to lipstick, or to those who are looking for that perfect every day colour. I know that this will most certainly be a handbag staple for 2014.
